Sales Associate

We are looking for experienced Retail Sales Associates to provide excellent customer service, styling support as well as event hosting for community programming while meeting sales quotas at our new JAIDE women’s retail location.
This is a hybrid role requiring strong communication and relationship-building skills, a fit for those who can make customers feel welcome in our store with a passion for commerce, community, and culture.. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products, programs, and events, and build strong relationships with our guests and clientele. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability and ongoing community programming.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and direct customers
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing, and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services, brands, community events and programs
- Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
- Cross-sell products
- Ensure racks are fully stocked
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers
- Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
- Work one or two of your weekly shifts assigned to the Atelier lounge and community providing community hosting and engagement
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, Stylist, Event Planner, Cultural Programmer or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Excellent relationship and client relationship management skills
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- A demonstrated passion for events, community programming and engagement
- Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- High school degree
- BS in Marketing or related field is a plus
- Previous event planning or community programming experience a plus
